Hamilton May assisted the Dutch investor Van der Vorm in successfully completing negotiations on the purchase of 128 residential units in Krakow’s Zablocie district. The apartments were purchased in the new development ‘Greendustry’ and are intended for long term rental in the Private Rented Sector.
The preliminary purchase agreement was concluded in July 2022 between VDV and local developer Quelle Lokum with a planned delivery date of Q2 2023.
The Greendustry transaction represents Hamilton’s biggest transaction to date with VDV, to add to previous PRS acquisitions completed in Warsaw’s Praga Polnoc and Krakow’s Stare Podgorze. We appreciate Van der Vorm’s strategy of providing modern rental properties, finished to a high standard, while maintaining an affordable price point for tenants.
Greendustry particularly stands out as an investment owing to attractive post-industrial architecture and its exceptional location in the centre of Zablocie, less than 10 mins to Kazimierz. We believe the investment will offer excellent long term rental potential and we look forward to growing our relationship with VDV moving forward.
