Building

The residence from the mid-19th century was completely renovated, rebuilt and expanded in 2019.

The architects involved in the project combined the new with the old, recreated the architectural detail that the investors wanted and created a new function inside the buildings (including the former stable, which after the completion of the construction serves residential functions). The biggest design challenge was incorporating residential functions into two detached buildings of a historic stable and a pigsty added to one of them in the 1970s, and combining them into one structure. The project was shaped on the basis of the historical form of the buildings. Finally, bearing in mind the need to create a living space for a large family, the architects decided to keep the pigsty and transform it into a modern wing of the complex, with large glazing opening the living room to the panorama of the park. This solved the problems related to the layout of new functions inside the historic building and the lighting of the living room located in the building of the former stable.

Location

The property is located near Mogilany, just 17 kilometers from Krakow's Main Market Square. It is one of the few towns favored by Cracovians who decide to live outside the city, while maintaining eye contact with the picturesquely situated in the valley of Krakow.
